A moving commemoration of the start of World War 1. The Cantata Collective will be representing local townsfolk at various stations throughout East Cheshire in a dramatic & musical tribute to the thousands of young troops who departed for the battlegrounds of Northern Europe from stations all over Britain.
Silent Night: The moving story of the Cheshire Regiment playing football on Christmas Day 1914. Saturday 13th June 2015: Cantata Singing Day at Poynton Methodist Church, 10am - 4.30pm. 'Spirit of Peace' featuring assorted spirituals and extracts from Karl Jenkins' Mass for Peace: The Armed Man. More information to follow soon.
